Great views of Kruger Park with elephants bathing and eating. Convenient location for trips to the park, with shopping facilities nearby. Close proximity to Crocodile Bridge gate, where we spotted elephants, hippos, and even heard hyenas. Peaceful and well-maintained surroundings, with a nice swimming pool and braai area. Helpful and friendly staff, like Darryl.

The master bedroom at Elephant Walk Retreat offers the most amazing views of the Kruger National Park and the Crocodile River. It's like waking up in the heart of nature! The room itself is so comfortable and cozy, with a king-sized bed and a fold-out sleeper couch. The en-suite bathroom is spacious and has a private shower and toilet area. I felt so connected to the outdoors and truly immersed in the beauty of nature.
I must admit that the kitchenette in the small viewing deck area wasn't my favorite. It's still functional, but I personally would have preferred a larger cooking space.

We were pleasantly surprised by the breathtaking views from our spacious log cabin at Elephant Walk Retreat. The air conditioning provided much-needed relief from the heat, and we even spotted elephants right by the security fence. Despite the outside kitchen, we had no issues with wildlife. The friendly hosts made us feel welcome and the location, just a short drive from the Kambaku golf club, was ideal. we highly recommend this retreat.

I must say, the value for money at Elephant Walk Retreat was excellent. The room was comfortable and hearing the wild animals at night was a unique experience. The location right on the Crocodile River provided superb views and easy access to Kruger Park. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate us, especially Renette who helped us move to a more suitable room.
The breakfast offerings could be improved with a wider variety of options.

Loved the kitchenette on the deck, great for cooking while being serenaded by bush sounds. The pool was absolutely perfect for those sweltering Lowveld days, especially when I wanted to relax with a frosty drink and a good book.
Just adored the charming broken toilet seat in my luxurious cabin. It really added that extra touch of rustic elegance.

The location of the retreat was really nice, with views overlooking the river. We were lucky enough to see elephants, buffalo, antelope, and hippos from our unit, which was a truly amazing experience. The beds in the room were comfortable and the interior design had a nice wooden touch. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and even gave us an upgrade due to the internet issue.
The room we were initially given was quite small and did not have a kitchen. We were expecting more space and amenities for the price we paid.

African bush kitchen: The communal bush kitchen provided a unique experience, allowing me to channel my inner African chef and prepare meals surrounded by the tranquil nature.
Lack of fans: The absence of wall or standing fans in the kitchen made it quite uncomfortable during hot days.

the location was perfect for day visits to Kruger National Park. I even had the incredible experience of elephants stopping outside my chalet at night. the property was equipped with solar power, so I didn't have to worry about loadshedding. From the terrace, I could observe a flock of buffalo grazing in the adjacent river bed, and there were some timid monkeys around. the swimming pool was clean and provided a refreshing escape from the hot temperatures. The receptionist was competent and helpful. Cons: Nothing not to like! 😊.

The location of the retreat was excellent, just a few meters away from the entrance to the national park. We loved being able to easily access the park for our game drives and wildlife sightings. The views of the river were also amazing, with the chance to see animals like buffalos, hippos, and elephants right from our room. Another advantage was the helpfulness of the staff, particularly the manager who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable.
The lack of internet in the rooms, although it did give us a chance to disconnect from the world for a while. The curtains in the room also didn't block out the sunlight, which made it a bit difficult to sleep in.
